PUBLIC AGENDA: Proposed wireless antennas rules; fund for transportation nonprofit

 

A preview of Palo Alto government meetings for the week of April 15.

CITY COUNCIL ... The council plans to hold its annual Earth Day study session to discuss its sustainability efforts, consider approving a vesting tentative map at 190 Channing Ave. to allow for four residential condominium units and two office units; and consider an ordinance amending the municipal code on wireless communication facilities. COUNCIL FINANCE COMMITTEE ... The committee plans to adopt resolutions approving the financial plans for the water and wastewater-collection services; consider amending water, wastewater collection and storm-water management fees; and consider a funding request from the Palo Alto Transportation Management Association. BOARD OF EDUCATION ... The school board is tentatively set to hold a special meeting from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, at the district office, 25 Churchill Ave. View the full agenda here.

CITY/SCHOOL LIAISON COMMITTEE ... The committee plans to meet at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 18, in the Community Meeting Room at City Hall, 250 Hamilton Ave. View the full agenda here.

ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW BOARD ... The board plans to consider faƧade improvements for Building E at Stanford Shopping Center; and consider a proposal to demolish existing structures and construct a mixed-use building with 19 apartments and up to 7,450 square feet of office space at 565 Hamilton Ave. The meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 18, in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 250 Hamilton Ave. View the full agenda here.

PUBLIC ART COMMISSION ... The commission plans to allocate $9,500 for ground regrading of Arpeggio V by artist Bruce Beasley; allocate funds for preventive maintenance of artwork Confluence and Arch Cradle by Michael Szabo, consider an art project associated with the development at 565 Hamilton Ave., and hear an update on the proposed artwork at the city's new public safety building.
