Gibbons is a member of the National Society of High School Scholars for her 4.0 GPA.

"Shay is a good sized versatile guard who can really shoot it," Spartaro said. "She also has great court vision and a high basketball IQ. We are excited for Shay to have a great career here at Menlo."

The Oaks (9-1) are headed to Hawaii to participate in the annual Hoop N' Surf Classic in Honolulu, where the Oaks will take on two ranked NAIA teams in the country in No. 21 Carroll College on Tuesday and No. 3 Campbellsville University on Wednesday.
