The Palo Alto football team got the band back together and went on a mission Friday night, turning Homecoming into a celebration.
Jackson Chryst threw for three touchdowns and Paul Jackson III scored three touchdowns as the Vikings scored four times in the second half to pull away from Saratoga in a 42-21 SCVAL De Anza Division victory.
The Vikings (2-6, 2-2) host Los Altos on Senior Night next Friday at 7 p.m. with a chance to make the postseason party.

Juancio Henley was a major contributor for the Vikings in the first half. He caught a 42-yard pass from Chryst to open the scoring and then picked up 21 yards on a key run that led to Palo Alto's go-ahead touchdown, a Jackson III five-yard run.
Jackson III's 77-yard run in the second half gave Palo Alto a three-touchdown advantage over the Falcons.
Chryst also threw touchdowns of 60 yards to Paul Thie, and one-yard to Seattle Hmelar.
Kyle Mostofizadeh threw a touchdown pass of 28 yards to Jackson III.
Junior kicker Tyler Foug made all six PAT's, which was also a big difference in the contest.
The Vikings rushed for 275 yards, with Aiden Chang gaining 126 yards and Jackson III going for 111 yards.
Chryst was 7-of-13 for 167 yards and Mostofizadeh was 2-of-3 for 30 yards. The two quarterbacks combined to complete over 56 percent of their passes.
