Bay Area high temps expected to be 15-20 degrees above normal

Temperatures early this week in the San Francisco Bay Area are forecast to be well above normal, National Weather Service officials said.

On Monday and Tuesday, temperatures will be 15 to 20 degrees above what's normal for this time of year, weather officials said.

Daytime temperatures on Monday will range from the low 80s at the coast to the mid-90s inland.

During the day Tuesday, temperatures at the coast may reach the mid-80s while inland they could reach the mid-90s.

Palo Alto's forecast calls for highs of 86 degrees on Monday, 88 degrees on Tuesday, and 83 degrees on Wednesday.

Weather officials said from Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, temperatures will range from the lower to mid-50s in urban areas and drop to the 60s in the hills.
