Heather Zimmerman

Arts and Entertainment Editor, Embarcadero Media/Peninsula Division

Heather Zimmerman has been with Embarcadero Media since 2019. She is the arts and entertainment editor for the group’s Peninsula publications. She writes and edits arts stories, compiles the Weekend Express arts newsletter and oversees the community calendar.

Previously, Heather worked at the Silicon Valley alternative weekly Metro, and for a decade, served as the arts reporter for Silicon Valley Community Newspapers, a group of publications covering communities such as Sunnyvale, Los Gatos and Willow Glen.

Heather grew up in the South Bay and graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz, with a bachelor’s degree in literature.
