Three noted musicians – guitarist Nels Cline, saxophonist Phillip Greenlief and drummer Scott Amendola – will come together for a show at Mitchell Park Community Center, presented by Earthwise Productions. The three artists go way back. Last fall, longtime collaborators Greenlief and Amendola released their latest album – the contemporary jazz record “Stay with it.” And, according to Earthwise’s event posting, Greenlief introduced Amendola to Cline back in the ’90s, leading to the formation of The Nels Cline Singers.

Cline is perhaps best known as the current lead guitarist for the band Wilco, and has had an illustrious career, including being named one of the best guitarists of all time by Rolling Stone. Greenlief has played with artists ranging from Meredith Monk to They Might Be Giants, while Amendola, too, boasts an impressive resume full of interesting collaborations as a bandleader and sideperson.

May 30, 8 p.m., Mitchell Park Community Center, 3700 Middlefield Road, Palo Alto; $20;
