Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...
Guests can explore the natural beauty at Filoli as the historic Woodside estate hosts an outdoor concert series in which listeners don wireless headphones to hear a classical pianist performing on an instrument trucked in for the occasion. Courtesy Albert Dros.

Woodside’s Filoli estate is offering a chance to enjoy the spring weather and get your music fix all in one with In a Landscape: Classical Music in the Wild.

The unique outdoor concert series featuring classical pianist Hunter Noack returns to Filoli on May 20-21 after two selling out two events there in 2022.

No worries about coughing audience members — or the “quiet” unwrapping of a cough drop — interrupting this performance, and no worries about finding your seat, either, because there are none. Instead, this immersive experience gives listeners wireless headphones to enjoy the music as they explore the landscape.

Though the concert is broadcast to each audience member, the performance is live. Noack brings his 9-foot Steinway piano on a flatbed truck to each outdoor venue he plays on his tour.

May 20-21, 6 p.m., at Filoli, 86 Cañada Road, Woodside, $75. filoli.org.
