No power on Thanksgiving

This marks the second day I've had power outages, and I'm in Crescent Park, not Midtown.
Yesterday my power went out for a moment, and then right back on, enough to "blink" all my clocks and power-cycle all my computer and network stuff. Is the City going to pay me when something electronic breaks from all this nonsense?
Now today as well, and in Crescent Park too ... what the you-know-what is wrong with Palo Alto power? And why do they have to lie about it on the City web page?
And then, if you call the number to report power outages, they will not pick up or let you report unless your phone is from a verified Palo Alto prefix. I happen to have a cell phone that I keep with my old Mountain View number on it so they do not even do me the respect of answering the line.
No, Crescent Park was not mentioned in their outage report. I don't know, maybe it
was just a surge or transient on the line, but they do not even seem to know about it.
This is crappy service in my opinion. I don't get many outages, but then they start turning off and on my power daily and pretend it did not happen, it tends to bother me.
CURRENT STATUS - 9:10 AM
Power outage in Midtown Thursday, November 22
Most customers were restored to power at 8:22 AM, except for about 40 customers. Utility crews will continue to work and make repairs to restore power to the remaining customers still without power.
At 6:40 AM on Thanksgiving morning, a power outage occurred in Midtown impacting nearly 2,000 customers. The cause is currently unknown; however a three-person utility crew arrived on scene at about 8 AM to assess the situation and begin repairs.

Don't worry, our infrastructure is fine. Nothing to see here.
No need to rebuild or improve.
No need to put un/underemployed Americans back to work.
Nothing to see here.

Are you guys serious? To imply it is intentional? Gimme a break! We probably have the most reliable supply here than any place on the planet! Have you ever spent any time in a city where it is common to lose power several times a day? That s an infrastructure issue. Stop whining and if you have sensitive electronics its your responsibility to put them on a ups, not the city's! Get off your high house!
