As an occasional Caltrain rider I wish they would give some more loudspeaker announcements.
I never know for sure if the train I am getting on is the one I want that stops at the station I want. How am I supposed to know that this is not the previous train running late? A few more announcements stating this is train blank, stopping at blank, blank, blank, etc. would help immensely since the signs only tell you the name of the station you are already on and the time, which is information we don't need.
Another Caltrain fail on ease of use!

The signs and speakers are relatively new. Caltrain is adding more information to them as they get more organized. Until then, you would be wise to look up the train number for the train heading to your destination then listen or watch for announcements about that train number.

When the wind is right ( or wrong, from our point of view), we can hear the loudspeaker, too. Since we must rise very, very early, we must bed down for the night relatively early, and that is when it causes loss of sleep.
Cal Train needs to redirect or tone down their announcements, PLEASE!!!!
