Anyone know what difference a "no contest" plea makes in this situation, compared to a "guilty" plea?
Given the nature of this young man's actions--it's difficult to understand why he was not sentenced to more time.

@ 'Wondering'; a 'guilty' plea would admit guilt for a potential Civil suit brought by the Police officer.
Same as No contest plea for 'wreckless driving' when damages to personal property are at stake.

I sure would like to think that any person who tried to deliberately run over anyone, let along a police officer in the line of duty, would never live to see any light from the sun that was not filtered through prison bars. This is someone none of us want to ever have to worry about.
