will Carl Icahn break up HP?

Original post made by worker, College Terrace, on Dec 11, 2012

HP stock had a rare good day yesterday on rumors that Carl Icahn would take over the company, break it up, and sell off the pieces. Is this good for the workers? Good for the city? Or only good for stockholders? The stock has been trading near a 10 year low recently. News report: Web Link

Didn't Carl Icahn spend time in jail for financial chicanery in the eighties?

Hewlett and Packard, the flu ders, must be spinning in their graves!

No, he didn't. You may be thinking of Michael Milken, who was instrumental in financing many of Icahn's deals.
