Seeking Teens who Want to Save the World!
Schools & Kids, posted by Heather Hopkins, a resident of Menlo Park, on Jan 16, 2007 at 1:57 pm

My New Red Shoes, a nonprofit organization in Menlo Park that provides underprivileged children in the Bay Area with brand new clothing and shoes for the first day of school is seeking high school students to join its Junior Board.

As part of My New Red Shoes' Kids Helping Kids Program, the Junior Board will meet on Tuesday afternoons at Menlo-Atherton High School for six sessions between January 30 and April 17 to complete a service project that will impact homeless children in our community. Participants will also hear from young leaders who have started their own nonprofit organizations and will learn the basic tools of starting their own nonprofit endeavors.

Applications for the Junior Board are due on January 23.

For more information about the Junior Board and for an application, please visit www.mynewredshoes.org. Or, contact Tyler Abe at tyler@mynewredshoes.org.
