I wish that more can be done about employee's being treated unfairly at the VA Hospital. Abuse of power and nepotism is a norm. HR is a joke! Past HR chief and the director had missed used their power in appointing unqualified friends to key position's like the EEO office. VA Palo Alto take pride in knowing that they can over run and employee in legal cost to fight their case.

Sounds like a fairly clear cut case of discrimination. I wish Hewitt the best.

Sounds like a very hostile work environment. Using hostility and what is a sort of subliminal violence to send a message is not acceptable. I am not saying this was not a tough situation for all, but the people should come first. I suspect the reality of this situation is not really portrayed in this article though from either side.
