Fire in East Palo Alto damages two homes

A second-alarm fire gutted one home and damaged another, sending eight engines into the northern part of East Palo Alto Wednesday. A UPS driver who assisted residents of one of the burning homes was sent to Stanford Hospital.

Sound like the UPS employee was a real hero, and should be recognised for what he or she did that day!

I believe that the Fire Investigator, Jon Johnston, was mis-heard by the reporter. In the last quote of the article, I'm certain he must have used the phrase "sources of ignition," not "sources of emission." Nothing else would make sense.

I hate fires! in the forest and in our homes.
So sad that no one was killed, and hope no pets either.
