What should I do with a broken microwave oven?

I can't find any info on the City of Palo Alto website or google. Is this recyclable? I hate to just put it in the trash....

The Palo Alto recycling guide says you can put any electronic device in the recycling bin: Web Link

Personally, I would take it to an e-waste recycling center.
