a patent office in silicon valley has been planned for a while, california leads then country by a huge msrgin in patents so it makes sense. the funny thing to me was reading that san jose wants the permanent office because of its access to public transportation, in their cases , the light rail. public transportation in san jose (and most of the bay area) is a joke.
