To clarify a point in the article... My clients do embrace superfoods, however, the only soy I gently encourage must be fermented as you'll find with organic miso and organic tempeh, but not tofu of any kind. Fermented foods provide the gut with good bacteria which few of us get enough of. There are many different superfoods beyond leafy greens like broccoli and spinach, so variety is readily available. Also, if you are not a vegetarian, there are plenty of high-quality, organic animal products you can enjoy as you get slim and stay slim.

My best friend in another state tried this after the Lap Band failed to work. She also tried lifestyle changes along with diet and exercise.

The problem for her with hypnotherapy was that it worked only very short-term, and she was required to go back in so frequently that it became very expensive and inconvenient. Also, her insurance would not cover it.

She recently qualified for a gastric bypass, which her insurance will cover, since all else failed.

And there are even lap band and gastric bypass hypnosis services you may have heard about on Dr. Oz's show. Although the show spoke to high efficacy rates, long term results are not yet known and we're starting to hear of folks who opted for surgery gaining the weight back.

And if a person hasn't made changes in how they look at themselves and life, they'll revert to old ways no matter what approach they took before.

I'd rather focus on strengthening self love combined with a love of living foods so that being thin and loving life are one and the same.

Ranjini Raghunatu certainly did her homework for this article. As the director of the Palo Alto school of hypnotherapy I commend this writer for her diligence in obtaining information about hypnosis and it's therapeutic applications. The efficacy of hypnosis

is based in the mind-body connection. In other words the body is always responding to what the mind is thinking. As an example of that, Aristotle, many hundreds of years ago said, "a vivid imagination compels the body to obey it, for it is a natural principle of movement." Thank you Ranjini Raghunatu for a very enlightening article.
