The Political Lynching of George Zimmerman. Issues Beyond Palo Alto, posted by Ken, a resident of the Midtown neighborhood, on Apr 20, 2012 at 2:20 pm
Zimmerman (Z) was high tech lynched by the liberal press, before he was arrested. Barack Obama jumped in to tighten the noose.
But, oh what?! Z actually DID have wounds on his head, as he said, because Martin (M) attacked him, and which the liberal press denied.
High tech lynchings are almost as bad as the real deal, especially if they are hate crimes, including claims that Z did it because he is a white guy and M is black (none of which has been shown by the published evidence). BTW, Z is a mixed ethnic, and his appearence suggests that he is Latino, yet the press insisted that he is "white". Of course, the pictures of M are consistently shown as his younger self, not his older self, which is not so sweet looking. This press treatment is properly called liberal propaganda.
This thing is a teaching moment for liberals. Shameful on their part, but still a possibility of rehabilitation.

@Ken: You seem to discount the fact that he killed a person. Charging him is a way to find out the circumstances of the killing and whether or not it was justified.
I am of the opinion that someone who takes a life needs to justify his or her action. You will note that this stance is neither liberal nor conservative. In civil societies, which ours aspires to be, citizens are not allowed to kill another human being without severe provocation.
Neither you nor I knows what happened that night, so it is inappropriate to try to fix blame. Our judicial system is designed to try to find out what happened and make an attempt to bring justice to this sad situation.

"I am of the opinion that someone who takes a life needs to justify his or her action."
From published reports, Z did exactly that. What law(s) did he break?
Everyone has the right to self defense, and the Florida 'stand your ground' law allows the full expression of this basic right, beyond the castle walls. Block monitors are supposed to follow suspicious characters. Concealed carry, in FL, is the law. Z claims that he was following the law, and then he was confronted by M. The blood on Z's head supports his side of the story. Why was he arrested, other than for a liberal lynch court?
Kangaroo courts are not good courts. Liberals in court should be better than this, because they always complain about kangaroo justice. Not this time, apparently.
Yeah, keep using hyperbolic, inflammatory language. Works well for your feeble argument. Can't wait to start hearing how colorblind you are, a real human rights activist, why, even some of your best friends.....

That "explicit police instructions" was just advice from a clerk, not a direction from a cop. At any rate, Zimmerman was having his head pounded into the pavement when he killed his assailant. I still wonder why they didn't use the latest picture.

Agree with you, Walter. My first thought on the media coverage of this case was "lynching". I lived through race wars and lynchings 40 years ago, and remember well the mentality. We have a lynch mob mentality in our country now...against whites. Please remember, folks that Zimmerman was first reported as "White", then "White Hispanic" now "Hispanic with black roots". The rush to judgement was breathtaking, helped along by our Dear President who, of course, couldn't help inserting himself into the fracas in such a helpful way.
Finally, 2 months later, the "rest of the story" is making its way out into the public.Web Link
What? A gated community with a rash of thefts by young black men in the recent past? What? A black neighbor defending Zimmerman? A very brave person!! Much like the whites of my youth defending blacks who were rushed to verdicts of "guilty" by the mob.
Wake up, folks. I thought we were past this, but I am highly disheartened to see that we aren't.
And takes it much further: Public "outing" of private"enemies" to his re-election. Web Link
Gosh, I am sure that is exactly what we want: a Presidency with the power to destroy private groups and individuals through IRS targeting and, now to another historic turning point, targeting private citizens for public lynching (monetarily speaking).
This Dude-In-Chief is finishing the destruction of the Democrat brand with such fascist maneuvers.
Think, people, think. Do you really want a President who abuses power like this guy does? Right or Left, we should all be united against the power of a government to destroy us.

You linked to this Frank Vandersloot, billionaire fellow Mormon who has donated at least a million dollars to Mitt's superpac, perhaps millions more through the anonymous 503(c)4 superpacs likes Rove's GPS?
