Our fragile nation, indeed the whole world is in urgent need to protect itself with a 'surge protector' from our warmongering president. The newly elected Democrats have voiced weak messages in response to Bush's efforts to escalate the war in Iraq. Nothing short of an aggressive effort to remove the president and his group of neo-cons through an impeachment process can inject a modicum of sanity into the Bush juggernaut of widening the conflict. Like a compulsive gambler, Bush has shown utter disdain for Congress and the sanctity of human life by operating the levers of power dispatching more US soldiers and Iraqis to a certain death or serious injuries. Emboldened by the weak response from lawmakers, Bush now plans to escalate the war in Iraq and has made extremely dangerous overtures that Iran and possibly Syria might be targeted for military strikes. Calling an immediate halt to this insane war should be on the front burner of the people's business. All other items on the Democrats agenda pales by comparison.
