Not sure who wrote this ... The Knights goalkeeper was stellar indeed, but missing from this article is how exciting it all was and how incredibly close the game was during the first 3 quarters, with M-A leading by two points at one point, but otherwise the teams were one point apart for most of it. Was the writer there?

And ... and the Menlo-Atherton Boys' Water Polo JV Team defeated the Menlo water polo JV team 8-2. Give them all their due: Great job Knights AND Bears!

@Catherine: The article literally says that Menlo was "Down 7-6 in the third quarter." Therfore, the Bears were up--i.e. winning--7-6 in the third quarter. This directly implies that the game was close all the way with MA even ahead late in the game. And as per your other criticism, I can imagine that the writer didn't feel the need to editorialize how "exciting" it was (thankfully).

Also, JV games are rarely (if ever) reported on and how could they be with so many going on at once. Once the athletes earn their way to varsity where the section chapionships are won do they earn coverage. Look at every other sport covered in this same article that you're criticizing.

PA Weekly actually does an amazing job covering local sports, so thanks for that!
