Police arrest one after early-morning burglary

Police arrested a man early Friday morning for allegedly stealing $8,000 in construction equipment from a Crescent Park residence under construction. A second burglar escaped the search, which included two canine units and a police perimeter around the neighborhood.

Let's hear it for good neighbors ... and let's all try to be as good of neighbors to each other as the person who reported this to the police was! Yea!

Oh ... and I happen to recall that a while back a woman was assaulted right on the street in broad daylight in Crescent Park by some men driving by in a truck and had her leaf-blower stolen in addition to being threatened with a knife and hurt. I wonder if this is the same perpetrator? Hope someone checks on that.

Thanks to the alert neighbor and the police for their efforts! Let's be all be vigilant and keep Palo Alto safe from this kind of riff-raff.
