Why no Daily News?

Original post made by Joy O, College Terrace, on Mar 27, 2013

I've not been able to locate a copy of the Daily News this week, either at a newspaperstand on the street or at a branch City Library, and when I asked at the Library, I was told that none had been delivered yesterday (Tuesday) or today (Wednesday).

They have gone digital, and are publishing in paper only three days a week. You can google them and subscribe online to get the e-edition. No more hunting down a copy!

Sorry College Terrace neighbor, but we're all being dragged into the digital age whether we want to be or not. You'll find it on-line - good luck!!!

Silly me, I see that there is an article posted on paloaltoonline that the Daily News is cutting two printing days a week. However, Wednesday is supposed to still be a print-available day, so I guess I will just get used to doing without a printed edition of the Daily News.

Palo Alto Weekly Holiday Fund

For the last 23 years, the Palo Alto Weekly Holiday Fund has given away more than $4 million to local nonprofits serving children and families. When you make a donation, every dollar is automatically doubled, and 100% of the funds go directly to local programs. It’s a great way to ensure your charitable donations are working at home.
