On Deadline
Palo Alto Issues, posted by vic, a resident of the Old Palo Alto neighborhood, on Jul 18, 2012 at 9:33 am

I found objectionable the July 13 "On Deadline" praising the "California Clean Money Campaign."

This article is inflammatory, divisive and derogatory. It uses language like "ruthlessness", "dishonesty" and "evil," calling for a fight back against an "attack" by "evil" forces such as the Koch brothers, the Chamber of Commerce and a disgusting Republican Party.

I find the article inherently hypocritical. While it alledgedly champions clarity and transparency, nowhere is the massive advantage AB 1648 would confer on union political money even alluded to.

In short this is propaganda, a hit piece on the minority party masquarading as an opinion piece.

Give the voters the straight scoop (see Palo Alto's Ticking Time Bomb in the same Weekly issue) and we will make the choices necessary to set things right.
