Why Congress Should Serve People not Corporations

Original post made by Carol Brouillet, Barron Park, on Apr 22, 2012

The heart of the global economy is a war economy. War is big business, transnational corporations profit from the destruction and rebuilding of entire countries. A few benefit monetarily, but there is a tremendous cost involved for the vast majority of people, and the environmental toll is staggering. If we do not change the course that we are on, there will continue to be tremendous human suffering, an increasing gap between the rich and the poor, and environmental devastation that will render the entire planet uninhabitable for human life.

Kimmel received 5 war warnings in the weeks before December 7 and yet Sunday December 7 he still maintained a Sunday schedule. It is not up to the President to order specific deployment, that is up to the commanders on site. Kimmel got the big bucks, Kimmel was to blame for his peacetime deployment.

Only two alerts were ever sent to Hawaii. The first was on June 17, 1940 when General Marshall ordered General Herron to: IMMEDIATELY ALERT COMPLETE DEFENSIVE ORGANIZATION TO INTERCEPT POSSIBLE TRANS-PACIFIC RAID. The second alert was sent by Marshall on December 7th, 1941 to General Short and arrived after the attack.

The Navy never sent any alert to Hawaii.

Washington held intercepted Japanese diplomatic and spy communications that gave indications of the time, place, reason, and deceit plan to cover the Pearl Harbor attack, but sent none of this information to Hawaii.

There is a great deal more information on this matter on my website at:
