Original post made on Sep 1, 2011

Correction - Paly's first State titles in 113 years were the 1993 & 2006 Boys Basketball Squads.

Actually, the reporter said the first for "each" of the programs. Speaking in regards to the Football and Volleyball programs.

The reporter gave props to the boys basketball teams. :)

"It was the first such titles for each program in 113 years of Palo Alto sports history. The Vikings also have two state crowns in boys' basketball (1993 and 2006)."

Here's to another great and SAFE year of Paly sports!

Paly also won the "mythical" state championship in boys water polo back in 1993. Undefeated, won the "state invitational" and the CCS championship.

Palo Alto Weekly Holiday Fund

For the last 23 years, the Palo Alto Weekly Holiday Fund has given away more than $4 million to local nonprofits serving children and families. When you make a donation, every dollar is automatically doubled, and 100% of the funds go directly to local programs. It’s a great way to ensure your charitable donations are working at home.
