stanford baseball ends with a sweep of usc
Sports, posted by anon., a resident of the Ventura neighborhood, on May 27, 2007 at 7:23 pm

well, it wasn't the most memorable season of late for the high achieving baseball team on the farm, but they did manage to end the season with a sweep of usc in so. cal. and won the majority of their last few games to pull even for at .500 to finish the season, and also managed to get out of the pac-10 cellar (ahead of usc). The played well down the stretch, but just didn't seem to have the total package this year, like they usually do. Perhaps next season will see a return to typical stellar defensive play, as well as the resurgene of the pitching crew. Until then, it's over, but they ended the season on an upbeat, and expect to see more improvement next year as the team evolves.
