Rent-control manager resigns after audit

Carol Lamont, the manager of East Palo Alto's rent-control program, tendered her resignation March 12, after the City Manager's office commissioned an audit of her program that many rent-board members and the City Council did not even know about.

So this is the updated story. I'm sorry that I didn't post here instead. But, perhaps it's moot given that there was just a meeting held and this ridiculous report was discussed - and resoundingly excoriated by those who made public comments.
