M. Vincenti,

"Job-seeking teachers might view our district as a place where you don't have to spend so much time with kids, can be away from campus, can get technical help to tape your lectures, then market them on the Web to a lucrative world, to eke out a better living."

The gain or loss (for students and PAUSD) from blended classrooms will probably depend on the teachers. I hope this does not sound harsh, but not all interactions with teachers are as ideal as they could be. If the teacher is one which students would rather see less of anyway, it could become mutually interesting to get rid of a credit and getting a pass from seeing the teacher. It's a big loss though if the teacher is really good.

I agree with Paly Parent, but also with Mr. Vincent,
The teacher might not bullied the students as much as they do in face to face classes. Four teacher from Gunn have bullied each of my children who attended Gunn. There are some sarcastic teachers who use their power to humiliate students who do not keep up with the rest of the smart students. Hopefully at lease the other students will not be there to laugh with the abusive teacher. This also happens in middle and elementary (Juana Briones teacher) schools. Some teachers should not be allowed to be close to children, and they are every day on our children's faces, making their life miserable
do agree that
