Its about time they arrest someone for these types of crimes. Police catching these perps is a good deterant for these crimes. The more that are caught, these idiots will think twice before they do these stupid things. (hopefully)

When victims cooperate, then the police can do their job. Its time for the everyone everywhere, to stand up against these crimes to make their neighborhoods safe.

Free will to search everyone's home/garbage, etc., is just ridiculous. There's still some good hard-working folk that live here. What we need is open-carry gun laws implemented in the entire state of CA, like TX does. I bet criminals will think twice about robbing/burgularizing people when they don't know if they have a gun or not. This is my opinion and I'm entitled to it so the backlash to MY opinion in not necessary.

Glad a suspect has been arrested in this crime. Most times there is no follow up on these reports. The public is left wondering about the status of these investigations. Victims do not cooperate with authorities for fear of retaliation on them or their loved ones, or because they themselves may want to get well enough to get revenge. Most times the victims of such crimes are young criminals themselves or wanna-be gang bangers, not always innocent by-standers or regular citizens. Because of these young, ignorant, wanna-bes, I don't think more guns on the streets in this community is the answer. One solution is engaging youth in positive activities from very young ages, giving them purpose, educating them, and preparing them for trades and careers. The lure of money, power, drugs, and gangs are powerful for kids who have nothing to value and limited options. Very true, there are MANY decent, hard-working persons, many raising families and some getting involved in the community. These people outnumber the criminals. It is not all bad news and crime in East Palo Alto.
