My Swedish spouse and I were wondering if there are any midsummer events in the area? Thank you in advance!

Midsummer is a term rarely, if ever used, here. More often it is called the Summer Solstice or the First Day of Summer.

Midsummer's Day would be mid August in American terms.

Yes, thank you, Resident. As an American, I'm well aware of the terminology we use for the first day of summer. Scandinavians and many others around the world refer to it as Midsummer, which is why I did, because we're looking for events of that name in the area. Thanks for your help - will keep looking.

I am sorry, I misunderstood your request.

I am quite familiar with Midsummer's Day, apart from Shakespeare, it is celebrated at many places - the one that always comes to mind for me is Stonehenge!

I hope you are able to find a celebration.
