A photography reception and exhibit with Salvatore Ventura will be held at the Environmental Volunteers' EcoCenter on 2560 Embarcadero Road from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, June 1. Ventura's photography captures the Baylands.
[Web Link Music: 'Sweeney Todd']
Stephen Sondheim's "Sweeney Todd, the Demon Barber of Fleet Street," will be presented by the Redwood Symphony in two semi-staged performances Saturday, June 1, at 8 p.m. and Sunday, June 2, at 2 p.m. at the Canada College Main Theatre on 4200 Farm Hill Blvd. in Redwood City.
[Web Link Art: Early Modern Economies of Labor]
Sunday, June 2 is the last day of the exhibit "Buying and Selling: Early Modern Economies of Labor, Merchandise, Services, and Shopping." The 17 prints and drawings in this exhibition offer views of different types of workplaces and showcase a range of workers at their tasks, from the skilled goldsmith to the lowly butcher and rat catcher. 11 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Cantor Arts Center on 328 Lomita Drive, Stanford.

also, don't forget about the open house at sunset magazine headquarters. kick off the summer season this way. these look to be good events to attend
