East Palo Alto house fire suspicious, fire officials say

A suspicious one-alarm house fire displaced five residents in East Palo Alto Monday morning, according to fire officials.

I've had it w/residents housing people in their garages. The majority of these conversions are illegal - & many are dangerous. Many of the residents don't give a darn how these conversions affect their neighbors as well. If we had a bigger inspection dept., these could be better dealt with.

I am glad, all the same, that no one was injured. How strange that they think that the fire started in a van. What the heck?
