Man fatally struck by car Thursday identified

A man who was fatally struck by a car while standing near a bus stop in Mountain View Thursday morning, June 21, has been identified as 50-year-old William Ware, police said Friday. ==B Related story:==

The trees that the car hit are at least 50 feet away from the street, right?

I went to the intersection in Google Maps, and there's a guy at that bus stop. I'm guessing it's William Ware.

Dan, if you mean the guy dozing at the bus-stop with the big eucalyptus tree behind him --- no idea if that's him or not, but it's not the bus-stop where the accident occurred. The one in your link is the northbound side of Calif; accident occurred on the southbound side.

I was there after it happen ...homeboy was flying and the pic a mantenance man got was sick...hope the kid goes to jail....
