respect for city attorney Gary Baum

Original post made by dott31, Fairmeadow, on Oct 29, 2007

We can take pride in his generous and socially responsible behavior. Our city and the county, as a matter of fact, would be blessed if more civil servants were driven by a quiet attention to societal needs rather than ego.

Hear! Hear! Baum is a principales guy who takes more heat than he should. We're lucky to have him.

Is this guy gunning for a raise or something?

Who cares if Baum is socially responsible? Is he doing his job as city attorney well? Judging by some of the recent advice he's apparently given (like allowing Benest to accept an oral report on the recent sex harassment scandal at city hall), one might argue he isn't.

What's up with the smoke screen. I would have to lean towards Anna.

Step in something Gary? or getting ready to do something?

The problem Garry has is,guilt by association.

Is he playing the game to keep his job? Or is he a how far you can push the law, then when you get caught. Say this??? Kind of Attorney

Cover story man?

Dot 31 and Winslow Arbenaugh have been snowed by the smoke a mirrors in this story. If our City Attorney gave Palo Alto as much time and attention as he does to his pro bono work, maybe we'd have better decisions coming our of the City Attorney's office, and he wouldn't have to delegate so much the Assistant.

Would I say booted out. Not really, If I would say screwed over by people who had things to hide and ego's to build.Hear my story and make your own call. Funny you have to hear the whole think. You can here what you want, but the story teller gets to tell the whole story. With written Department substance and real people telling you what happened. I will tell my story and let the Public judge it? Something to hide?? Hear the whole story, not what you want to make it..

Funny have not heard anything from the person who speaks for all the Firefighters. Popped in, then had to leave.. Substance, truth are like the light of day to the Vampires that are sucking this City dry.

Is all the problems this City's leaders cause sour grapes. Is the web site sour grapes?, Are all the conn's sour grapes.

So the truth, facts of what these leader have done are just grapes?

And when they are proven to be wroung, covering up, lying and making a personal profit at being inept and incompetent with the Citizens/taxpayers money.
Wanting the truth?

These Sour the Grapes???? I think sour grapes are wine?

Funny how you can make Sour Grapes out of 20 years of service and a 11 page writings..
Much easier then dealing with the facts.. Specially when your smoke is not so thick.
Maybe the truth will escape the ego's that are killing it??
And stopping at nothing to get there WAY.

Want to take a look, I will so you my cards first? Want to Find the truth?
What to take a real life story from your City and look at the WHOLE thing then have to make your call to the people, with out the big spin.. This could be a ORAL report wounld not want to have to write anything down?.

Look at it as a public Q&A... That would be Quality..and A--for
Aduit?

ADUIT..... How can a Aditor do a good job if the truth is not give or openned to her? Or Her enviorment is not what it should be?

Should an Auditor begiven the real world truth from the employee's who might know it?

Funny how when I think of this Oral Report stuff, the first thing that comes into mind is....Wipe your prints off! and Get rid of that smoking gun.. Burn everything..

If I am not speaking the truth then tell me I am lying, Then give me a chance to tell you and The citizens,Public, Attorney General how I saw/seen it and the proof I have.. Everything has not yet become Oral in the City of Palo Alto and when you write something down. Promise something in writing. Maybe you can be held ACCOUNTABLE??

We can make a game of it... No maybe not, it is too sickening

Why not listen to the "Fireman"

He seems to know what is going on.
If his Truth will not hold water, Then he will have no more too say?

Give the "Fireman" his time. He did spend 20 years working in this city. Did he not?

When does Mr. Baum do this pro bono work? 40 hours a week working for Palo Alto should mean that he can do whatever he wants on his own time - in the evening or on the weekends.
