Day 2 of The Master's Spring Invite has concluded, and all five of the Menlo Men's Golfers represented Menlo have finished up their three rounds of golf. Three men finished their second round from Day 1, which was postponed due to darkness, while all five wrapped up their third round at Robinson Ranch. The Oaks continued to compete in the event that featured 14 teams, and despite finishing at the bottom of the list with a 913 team score, managed to show improvement from earlier this season and last season.

Jayrick Joseph Cadelina-Canyete was the man pacing the Oaks golfers with his three-round total of 223 (73+73+77). This earned him a spot just outside the top fifty among overall individual performances, and he was able to leapfrog teammate Colin Casey, who led Menlo golfers after Day 1. Douglas Burton was next on the Menlo side with an overall score of 226 (74+74+78), finishing just three strokes behind Cadelina-Canyete. Colin Casey slotted in third amongst Oaks, with a three-round total of 227 (72+78+77). Casey was only one of two Oaks who showed improvement from his second round score to the third round. The other golfer who improved in the final round was Gavin Bean, who finished up with a total of 243 (79+85+79). Jared Finney matched the totals put up by Bean with a final score of 243, though his rounds of 82, 79, and 82 showed more consistency.

Lawren Rowe was still king of the tournament when all golfers finished round number three. The golfer from Victoria (BC) was an even 70 on the final round to finish at 203 (68+65+70). Braeden Koran (CSU San Marcos) and Mike Griffin (Victoria) rounded out the top three with totals of 204 and 205 respectively.

Surprisingly enough, it was Oklahoma City Baptist finishing in first with an overall team score of 842, jumping past Victoria, who earned a second place finish at 845. William Jessup University was the highest finishing GSAC-school at third place with 847.

Menlo College will be hosting the next event on its schedule, the Menlo College Ocean Duel set for March 6th and 7th. The event will take place at Pasatiempo Golf Club in Santa Cruz as well as Presidio Golf Club in San Francisco.
