"In the City"
For my 16th Birthday, my family and I went up to San Francisco to have some dinner, so I figured I'd try to catch a glimpse of the Bay Bridge with its lights on. It was quite cloudy that day, which allowed the lights from the other side of the bay to illuminate the sky. I loved the urban feel of the long-forgotten pillars in the foreground, and the moving water under the bridge helped create the haze in this 103-second exposure.
Arjun Narayen's long exposure of the waterfront by the Bay Bridge, titled "In The City," was also visually pleasing. We appreciated that the print was black and white, and it was obvious the photographer took care with the composition and exposure to evoke a quiet and thoughtful mood.
