Artist's Statement

This spring my Dad and I took our annual trip to see the wildflowers in the Carrizo Plain National Monument. As usual they were dazzling this year, but the sunrise our first morning made the vista that much more special. The reds against yellows led to a well balanced photo that was one of my favorites from the trip.
