Manhunt for prowler turns up empty-handed

Bookmark and Share
A man who prowled outside a woman's bathroom after she had showered eluded Palo Alto police on New Year's Eve, police Sgt. Patty Lum said.

The incident occurred at about 8:30 p.m. in the 2100 block of Ash Street between College and Oxford avenues and El Camino Real. The woman noticed that a man in a white knit-style cap was outside her window, and he seemed to be peering at her, Lum said. She immediately called police.

Officers set up a perimeter, but they found no trace of the man despite tracking him with a canine unit. Police have no other description of the man and no other information is available at this time, Lum said.

Who showers in front of a window? Put up a blind - you never know who may be legitimately on the other side!

It has nothing to do with the crime but the least you can do is recognize that Patty Lum is a Lieutenant, not a Sergeant. Just another example of the shoddy reporting by this agency.

I agree with "???" - Why would anyone be able to see you when you are showering? Put up curtains or blinds.
