NBA point guard Jeremy Lin, a graduate of Palo Alto High School (Class of 2006) and Harvard University (Class of 2010), reflects on his Palo Alto basketball roots, his experiences as a trailblazing Asian and Ivy League player in the NBA, and his dreams for the future.
In conversation with Lisa Van Dusen just before the Golden State Warriors began practice for the 2011-2012 season, Lin (6'3") talks about playing with his former Paly teammates during the NBA lockout and shares what matters most to him, including his deep faith. He muses: "It's a business. Anything can happen."
Lin's faith was tested a few days later when the Warriors cut him on the first official day of practice. Lin responded to the cut by Tweeting Psalm 46:10. Within a week, however, the Houston Rockets had picked him up.

Posted by Resident, a resident of Another Palo Alto neighborhood, on Dec 19, 2011 at 9:55 am Thanks for keeping us updated about our local professional player. We have great Paly memories in our family surrounding Jeremy. Any updates on how his brother Joseph is doing since he left Paly?
