POST acquires 1,000 more acres of open space
Driscoll Orchards, a 318-acre part of what was once the expansive Driscoll Ranch along Highway 84, has now been protected as open space by the Peninsula Open Space Trust. Like the original ranch, the new parcel will likely be incorporated into La Honda Creek Open Space Preserve. The new acquisition contains a mix of oak forest, grasslands, coastal scrub and a small but spectacular redwood grove. Photo by Larry William (c) 2012.
