The Bigger Splash released in May 2016,was a huge disappointment, it was highly rated with 5 star reviews and it had a stellar cast (Ralph Fiennes, Tilda Swinton). We foolishly believed the hype and saw it the first weekend, we could not wait for it to end. The Box office was only 7M. Someone lost their shirt on that one.

My pick:
1. Fences
2. Hell and the high water
2. Manchester by the sea

3. Ms. Sloane ( a bit of confusing movie when watched once)
4. Nocturnal animals
5. Bigger splash
6. Indignation
7. Man called Ove

"Snowden" does not do justice to its subject, Edward Snowden.

This was one of the most boring, slow-moving films I've seen in at least 15 years!

A Man Called Ove (based on the best selling Swedish novel) was my favorite movie of the year. Web Link

La La Land was also wonderful

Would not recommend Manchester by the Sea to anyone prone to depression, because if you are not depressed you will be when you leave the theater.
