Voting begins for the Best of Palo Alto

Annual competition seeks to reveal readers' favorite local businesses

Palo Alto Weekly readers have great taste, and that's why we seek their expertise every summer as we search for the best the city has to offer. From book stores to bakeries, boutiques to body shops, readers get to single out the best restaurants, retailers, services, places to have fun and more through the Best Of Palo Alto contest.

Easy online voting opened Friday, April 25, and winning businesses will be announced in July. To find the online ballot, go to www.PaloAltoOnline.com/best_of.

By participating, readers have their own chance to win a prize. People who vote for at least five categories and then respond to a confirmation email, activating their ballot, will be entered into the prize drawing. Prize winners will be contacted via email after voting ends.

Voting will close at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, June 1.

Readers who don't find their favorite businesses in the Best Of drop-down menus can submit them as write-in votes. Write-in votes help new retailers and service providers qualify for next year's ballot.

Sam's Chowder House: okay food, not as good as SF. Definitely not kid-friendly.

The Massage Therapy Center at 368 California Avenue in Palo Alto is a
provider of the BEST therapeutic massage I have ever had, giving me
enormous relief from spinal stenosis.

There is no place like Lux Eye care on El Camino Real in Palo Alto next to Sundance Steak House. Lux is by far the best eye care shop in Palo Alto. They carry famous brands of sun grasses, reading glasses and contact len's, they also have friendly staff, and they also have their own lab on site. Please take time to go and check out Lux eye care.
