No one was injured in a residential fire that occurred on the 3300 block of Kipling Avenue Monday afternoon.
The fire, which started at 1:50 p.m. in a single-story home, caused damage to the home's attic before firefighters extinguished the flame using water hoses.
Crews had to cut holes in the roof and pull the ceiling down from the dining room down to make access to the fire. It was controlled in 40 minutes.
An initial investigation of the fire points to electrical wiring in the attic as the cause, according to a press release.
