The Palo Alto Oaks will take a 14-0 record into this weekend's Western Baseball Association doubleheader at Baylands Athletic Center before heading to Sacramento the following week for the West Region tournament.
The Oaks will face a field that includes representatives from the Sacramento Rural League, Southern California and the Western Baseball Association. Tournament play begins July 26.

In Game 1, the Oaks used the mercy rule and won 11-1 in seven innings. Brian Fleischli went 4-for-4 with a triple, double, and two singles. Fleischli actually had a chance for the cycle in his last at-bat but settled for a single
After giving up a run in the top of the first, the Oaks rattled off nine runs in the second inning. The Oaks had nine hits before an out was recorded.
Danny Ordonez and Gary Foster each had three RBI in the game. Dominic Hernandez threw the first four innings, giving up just the one run, and Gilbert Guerra tossed the last three -- giving up no hits and striking out four.
The second game was much closer with the Oaks prevailing, 6-4. Starter CJ Hillyer tossed the first four and gave up one run while striking out 10.
The Oaks got going in the third when Jordan Cortez led off with a walk. After a groundout and walk, Sheldon Daquioag launched a double to score Cortez.
In the fourth inning, the Oaks scored two more when Barry Knapp led off with a single. Tyler Finley followed with a single of his own. A 6-4-3 double play looked to stop the Oaks, but Maxx Sheehan was hit by a pitch and Cortez singled to score Knapp. Trevor Demerritt followed with another single to score Sheehan.
The Oaks scored single runs fifth, sixth, and seventh innings highlighted by Knapp's RBI triple in the seventh.
The Oaks will host the Fontanetti's 'A' team on Sunday, starting at 11:30 a.m.
