A 29-year-old Palo Alto woman allegedly struck a bicyclist and two cars on the Stanford campus, then fled the scene on Monday afternoon, Jan. 28, according to Stanford police.
The incidents occurred at about 4:15 p.m., said Sgt. Christopher Cohendet of the Stanford University Department of Public Safety. He did not yet know whether the bicyclist or the vehicles were struck first. No one was injured, he said. The bicyclist was struck near the intersection of Salvatierra Street and Campus Drive.
The hit-and-run driver was followed by the drivers of the vehicles she struck, and police intercepted her car near Page Mill Road and Foothill Expressway, Cohendet said.
Police cited the woman for misdemeanor hit-and-run and she was released. Cohendet said he did not immediately have her name.
