'Sympathy for the Devil: Satan, Sin and the Underworld'
As Jackson Pollock’s painting "Lucifer" comes to Stanford’s Anderson Collection, this exhibition explores the visual history of the devil and his realm from the 16th to the 20th century. The exhibition also indicates the artists’ inspiration: religious sources and accounts by Homer, Dante and Virgil. On display from Aug. 20 through Nov. 30, Wednesday-Sunday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Free.
