Film'The Mask You Live in' with Jennifer Siebel Newsom
As part of the Hillview Middle School Speaker Series, Jennifer Siebel Newsom, documentarian and Second Lady of California, will screen and discuss her newest documentary "The Mask You Live In," which examines gender stereotypes and the miseducation of boys today. Film'Merchants of Doubt'
Local environmental nonprofit Acterra will hold a screening of "Merchants of Doubt," a documentary about "pundits for hire" who spread doubt about scientific findings, including the health effects of tobacco and climate change. March 7, 7 p.m. Free. Trinity Church, 330 Ravenswood Ave., Menlo Park.
FilmGirls Innovate! movie night: 'Big Dream'
Girls Innovate! invites girls from the community to attend a screening of "Big Dream," a 90-minute documentary about seven young women's journeys in following their passion for science, math, computing and engineering. The Oshman Family JCC will hold a screening of the documentary "The Price of Kings: Shimon Peres," which explores the long career of former Israeli president Shimon Peres through interviews with him, family and friends, colleagues and opponents.
