Seniors

La Comida Senior Lunch Program
Nonprofit La Comida welcomes seniors age 60 and older and their guests to enjoy an appetizing and nutritious three-course lunch, along with camaraderie, music and activities. Lunch is served weekdays at three Palo Alto locations. Visit the website or call for the other venues and more info. Monday-Friday, year-round, 11:15-12:15 p.m. $3 voluntary contribution for adults 60 and over; $8 charge for those under 60. La Comida Main Dining Room, Avenidas Center, 450 Bryant St., Palo Alto.

The La Comida Senior Lunch Program has various volunteer opportunities available, including helping to welcome and serve seniors, translate, assist with special programs and do community outreach. Monday-Friday, year-round, 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Free. La Comida Main Dining Room, Avenidas Center, 450 Bryant St., Palo Alto.

Exhibits

'Artists Observe Nature'
This exhibition features about 18 prints and drawings that focus on the post-17th century impulse to study nature. Wednesday-Monday, May 14-Oct. 6, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.; Thursdays til 8 p.m. Free. Cantor Arts Center, 328 Lomita Drive, Stanford.
 

Seniors

Minds in Motion classes
Peninsula Volunteers will offer these classes as part of its early memory loss wellness program for those experiencing changes in memory or other cognitive impairments. Activities include brain and memory games. Mondays, through December, 10 a.m.-noon. $12 drop in; $75 eight-week series. Little House Activity Center, 800 Middle Ave., Menlo Park.

Palo Alto Scrabble Club
The Palo Alto Scrabble Club welcomes players of all levels every Monday night, holidays included. No need to RSVP. No charge to play. Players can drop in with their equipment or use the club's. Mondays, through December, 6-9:30 p.m. Free. Freebirds World Burrito, 2305 El Camino Real, Palo Alto.

For the Love of Dance classes
For the Love of Dance offers training in ballet, jazz, tap and other styles of dance. Serving Mountain View, Palo Alto, Los Altos and Sunnyvale, it is a family-owned studio that teaches dance to children and adults at all levels of ability.
